Internal Sales Executive: A tenacious and confident Internal Sales Executive with account development experience is required to work with existing clients to identify new business opportunities, generate sales and maintain the sales pipeline for a leading importer and distributor of IT networking, cabling and power products operating across the UK.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience, preferably in the cabling/power products or related industry, of identifying and converting new commercial opportunities. Primarily a telephone based role, the successful Internal Sales Executive will manage and nurture existing relationships with key accounts in addition to cold calling new potential new leads.

The Internal Sales Executive will join an importer and distributor of AV, security, networking, cabling and power products, as well as a wide range of imported copper, fibre optic cabling and computer cables. The company prides itself on supplying high quality cables and peripherals to an ever-changing market place, being the first to supply the market with new technology and innovative products.

Responsibilities:
- Continue to develop and nurture new and existing relationships within existing customers; increase run rate business in each trading account
- Respond to sales enquiries, prepare and deliver quotes, take and process orders
- Work with the Business Managers and the service team to ensure gross profit is maximised
- Add value with pricing and information to help the customer make an informed decision
- Develop and maintain a clear understanding of products and service opportunities
- Work actively on closing quotes, understanding the competition and reviewing margins to win business
- Maintain an understanding of the sales pipeline, what will close, ship and be invoiced
- Maximise the margin, negotiate best buy prices from vendors on a deal by deal basis
- Ensure customers' deadlines are achieved every time
- Ensure that the system is kept updated with all active opportunities throughout the month
- Process, progress and expedite orders through to completion effectively and efficiently
- Cold call potential leads
- Communicate with colleagues, customers, suppliers and manufacturers
- Run forecasts at the start of every month and prepare forecast mid-month

Skills & Experience:
- 2-3 years' sales and account management experience within this industry or similar
- Full understanding of the process of selling (product training will be given)
- A-Level or Degree in Business Studies (preferred)
- CTS certified would be ideal or an NVQ in customer service/account management would be considered
- Experience and knowledge of using sales-I or similar system (ideal)
- Knowledge of the cabling, IT business would be beneficial
- Competent using MS Office
- Organised, flexible, ability to manage several tasks at any one time
- Excellent verbal and written communication in the English language
- Professional and confident telephone manner
- An experienced problem-solver who can think logically and laterally to find solutions
